About Me

My photo
I am 37 Married Mother of 6 beautiful children :) I have 3 deep passions! First is seeing my husband and children thrive in all GOD has for them :) After that I am crazy wild about supernatural healing signs n wonders, miracles and the prophetic :) That list goes on and on... The 3rd would be healthy living.I call this blog "Juiced Alive" because its how I feel when I juice!Juicing and a raw diet mean a great deal to me. I am not 100% raw. I was born and raised in Alaska so I LOVE SALMON and MOOSE MEAT!! Juicing has been a big blessing to my body. I have been doing it for almost 8 yrs now. My children LOVE the hulk drink and many others :) My hope is that this blog will display that it can be simple and enjoyable. I could write pages on the benefits of juicing but I will spare you.........for now :) BLESSINGS!

Juicer's Or Vitamix?

I have had many friends email me and ask what kind of juicer I use or what I would recommend. I can tell you the juicers I have used and what I like :) This is only my opinion though. Find a juicer that works best for your family and go from there. I feel juicing is VITAL to your HEALTH!

When I started juicing 7 yrs ago I had a Jack Lalaine basic juicer. It worked great for about 8 months. Then the  centrifuge spinner broke and I had to replace it 3 times ugh. It did bother me that I had lots of pulp that was  wasted as well. Not a bad juicer but felt I could find a better one. I hear Jack Lalaine's juicers have come a long way and his newer ones are much better :)  Bless his family and all the health standards he lived by!!! Jack has taught many the importance of juicing! He is a champion in my book :)

The second juicer I borrowed from a friend. Its was a champion. Did the job fine but again I had this feeling  there could be better and I wanted more out of a juicer. The juice kind of tasted warm to me and had quite a bit of foam on top of the juice . So I gave it back to our friend after a few months. Went on to bigger things...The champion is not a bad juicer at all, I just felt I needed better.

Then my husband bought me a greenstar on line. Oh yes it has been a blessing!!!My juice has stayed "cool" with the twin gears inside it. The twin gears work to keep the enzymes as cool as can be so you don't loose any. Plus you can do wheat grass with this juicer. I made sorbets too. It can even kneed bread. After using it for over 5-6 yrs it needs new parts BAD!!!! They are falling apart I believe from being used daily and even being put in my suitcase when I visited my parents. Yes a hard core juicer I am! I could purchase new parts for this juicer but it will cost almost the same as the juicer. Plus I have given birth to more children and this juicer takes a while to assemble and clean up. So my eyes have been set on a new  juicer..............

My heart has been set on a Breville  800JEXL- Juice Fountain Elite 1000 Watt Juice Extractor! It will save me TIME putting it together and taking it apart! Now time is something that is a huge value with needing to give it out in different direction's. The cons to the Breville are it can take some of the essential enzymes with the centrifuge spinner because it does heat it up a tiny bit. Now why would  I do that? TIME that I need for other things. Besides if I can juice more than one time a day and eat raw the rest of the time I am getting enough enzymes. My vitamix works much better for sorbet or anything else that I would miss in a juicer. You can even put whole apples or fruit /veggies in  the  shoot and not cram it all in. Super easy and I believe a blessing for any busy person. My target is for busy Mom's :) Or any active or non active person! People suffering for arthritis this is your juicer!

Pray for me to get a Breville before my juicer is breaks totally apart! Don't know how it will get here but God does :)

Lets talk about the beautiful Vitamix! My husband bought me one on ebay 7 yrs ago. We got a refurbished on. It had a 7 yr warranty on it but in our big move we lost the warranty info. Sad to say my vitamix took a crash last year. It will work for a wimpy shake but not for the ice and nuts. I use it for so many things. I would suggest if you purchase a vitamix to get  a NEW one and go from there. The difference between the vitamix and blendtecs is the vitamix has a 2.5 horsepower and the Blendtec has a 3.0 horsepower. Plus the vitamix you need to use your tamper quite often to push things down. The blendtec has a small base that allows you to store it easier and you don't have to use a tamper  the blending vortex pulls your goods down making it easy to chop up. I believe both are Great machines! Again this is just info to help.  I was given a new  vitamix    two months ago by a precious friend!!!! I opened my door and she stood looking at the box saying "Merry Christmas".........Can you imagine the look on my face?  I cried and cried and could hardly say thank you I was so in shock! God is good and he blesses the desire of your heart!!!! See God knows health is so important to me and getting the good stuff into my family means so much to me! I am  still so blessed by what happened!

I hope this stuff helped. I am not a professional nor am I a writer. Just feel God told me to do this blog to start a fire for health. It you even use one recipe I will feel like I did something right :)

Blessings dear friends!

BE JUICED ALIVE!!!!
